How to Make the 3D Printable Giraffe Craft
Materials:
- Card Stock or Paper for Printing
- Coloring Supplies – choose a favorite medium!
- Glue Stick
- Scissors

TIP: Make sure the printer settings are set to ‘fit to page’ and will accept heavy weighted paper. We recommend a low weight card stock for most of our craft printables.

Let’s Make a Giraffe!
Step 1: Choose a favorite medium to color in the giraffe coloring page template.
When considering the coloring medium in terms of age appropriateness, crayons are generally more suitable for younger children due to their ease of use and less mess.
On the other hand, watercolor pens can be better suited for older children who have developed more refined motor skills and are ready to explore blending techniques and more intricate color effects.
As for colors, Arty Crafty Kids can choose oranges or simple colors or opt for a multi-color approach – red, purple, blue etc are all great colors for a vibrant looking giraffe.
Or simply use a collection of favorite colors!
Step 2: Carefully cut out the colored giraffe elements from the template.
The giraffe craft parts will consist of a lovely long neck and long legs; a spotty body, head with a smiley face and tail.
Some of the giraffe parts might be a little tricky for preschoolers and young cut to cut out.
In this instance, rather than cut out the intricate parts, i.e the giraffes ossicones ( the horns), simply cut around the head and leave white space around the outline.
Step 3: Fold the giraffe’s body in half.
Find the solid black line and fold to create the foundation of the 3D giraffe.
Step 4: Fold the giraffe’s neck in half.
Next open the giraffe’s neck and apply glue to both sides.
Step 5: Affix the giraffe’s neck and head to its body.
Find the two white rectangles along the giraffe’s body and glue the bottom of the neck to this area.
Run two fingers along the neck to glue both sides together.
Glue the head to the top of the giraffe’s neck.
Step 6: Affix all four legs to the giraffe’s body.
Fun Fact: Did you know the giraffe is the world’s tallest land animal!
Step 7: Fold the tail piece in half and affix to the giraffe’s body.
With this final piece attached to the giraffe’s body, the 3D Printable Giraffe craft is now fully assembled!
