Kids, especially preschoolers and very young children will transforming their recycled paper rolls into a cute little snowman with his very own bed of snow! A perfect craft for at home or school.
How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Snowman:
Crafting is best when it’s kept simple and this snowman step-by-step guide will help even the smallest of Arty Crafty Kids complete this craft independently.
What you need to make a Toilet Paper Roll Snowman:
- Toilet Paper Roll
- Construction Paper
- Small Paper Plate 6”
- Cotton
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly Eye
- Pom Poms
- Pipe Cleaner
Preparing the Paper Roll
Step 1: Cut a piece of white paper a little taller than then the paper roll.
Step 2: Apply glue to one edge of the paper. Place the paper roll on top of the glue area and wrap the paper roll. Secure the other end with glue.
Step 3: Fold any excess paper over the edges and into the paper roll.
Let’s Make a Snowman Nose
Step 4: Cut a carrot shaped nose out of orange construction paper and glue on paper roll.
Step 5: Glue on the googly eyes.
Step 6: For mouth, with black marker draw black circles to create a smile for the snowman.
Create an Ear Muff out of Pipe Cleaners
Step 7: Create an ear muff for snowman by cutting and gluing a piece of pipe cleaner from one top edge of the paper roll to the other side in an upside down U shape.
Add Pom-Poms to Complete Ear Muffs
Step 8: Glue a pom-pom on top of each end of the pipe cleaner to complete the snowman’s ear muff.
Complete the Snowman with
Pipe Cleaner Arms
Step 9: Create pipe cleaner arms by cutting one longer arm piece and a shorter hand piece. Twist the hand piece onto the arm and glue the arm onto the snowman.
Add a Bed of Snow
Step 10: Glue the snowman onto a white paper plate. Glue cotton wool around the snowman to look like snow.
The Toilet Paper Roll
Snowman is now Complete!
