How to Make the 3D Tyrannosaurus Rex Paper Dinosaur Craft:
Materials you will need:
- White Card Stock for Printing ( Check printer setting and select ‘Fit to Page’)
- A Coloring Medium
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
- Tyrannosaurus Rex Printable Template ( members will need to login to access the template)

Let’s make the Tyrannosaurus Rex
Step 1: Color in Dinosaur Template.
Kids can use a variety of coloring mediums such as crayons, markers, colored pencils, and watercolors to creatively fill in the T-Rex template.
Step 2: Carefully cut out the dinosaur elements.
To give the T-rex a realistic finish, the hands feature small pointed nails that young children may find tricky to cut.
Step 3: Fold the Dinosaur’s head.
Align the two halves and secure with glue.
Step 4: Cut out the white areas as indicted above.
Removing these sections separate the back legs from the body that will eventually allow the dinosaur to stand.
Step 5: Fold along the dotted lines of the dinosaur’s back legs.
And then add a fold to the dinosaur’s feet.
Step 6: Create a fold along the solid black line.
The fold stretches from the top of the T-Rex’s body all the way down to the tail!
Step 7: Add a spread of glue to the white flaps.
Step 8: Gently bend the folds to create a round underbelly.
Connecting the underbelly fold should bring the dinosaur into a standing position.
Step 9: Apply glue to flaps at the bottom of the dinosaur’s head.
And then gently slide the T-Rex’s head into the slot located at the top of the dinosaur’s body.
